Little Cactus Washcloth Knitting Pattern

When I was testing ideas for my Mini Hearts Socks the Little Hearts Washcloth was born. And the idea behind both of them was to see how small I could make a heart in knit stitches. Which made me think about some of my other patterns. This is the first of “how small can I make a cactus?” inspired by my original Cactus Washcloth Obviously these cacti are not actually that small, getting only 4 of them onto a washcloth. However, I love the shape of these cacti!

I also don’t often use variegated yarn for my washcloths, but I had this one in my stash and I think it worked out, not competing with the pattern making it difficult to see.

This is the first of a three-part series of new cactus washcloths, so I hope you like knitting cacti!

Unblocked Little Cactus Washcloth.

Use a tapestry needle to weave in your ends. It is recommended that you block your washcloth, I favour steam-blocking for speed if you’re looking to gift your finished washcloth, or get a pic for Instagram (always my goal haha), but since you’ll be washing your Little Hearts as you use them, wet blocking or no blocking would also be acceptable.

I’d love to see your wips and finished projects! Add a project on Ravelry, and/or tag me on Instagram and use the hashtags #KnittleAndPearl and #KnittleCactus.
