Welcome!
It seemed appropriate that my first post be an introduction before I start with the KNITty-gritty. I was taught to knit at a pretty young age by my maternal grandma, and I was terrible at it! In high school I started knitting again because I had a classmate who sat in French class and knit, and it made me want to knit again too! I became obsessed with it, it was all I ever wanted to do! I would only work on things that were knit straight and flat though, and the time I dedicated to knitting would go up and down. About 2 years ago I was bitten again by the knitting bug. And because of the community I found, first on Instagram then in person, I tried more and more things, and have continued to dedicate large amounts of time to this hobby.
My other hobbies include dancing, cooking and baking (I have a major sweet tooth). I like to grow as much food as I can in a relatively short Canadian summer, and spend time either in or on whatever water I can find!
I named this blog from a past idea I had, but the “Knittle” is for knitting a little, or knitting little things, and while you may think I spelled “purl” wrong, I went with “Pearl” because that’s what my name, Megan, means. With this blog I thought I’d discuss the patterns I’ve knit, yarns I’ve used, and any other miscellaneous things that are knitting-related!
